Ash tree dieback disease.

Local conservationists are urging countryside users to keep a look-out for ash trees affected by the ash tree dieback disease.   It is feared this disease will sweep the country destroying ashes which are one of the most prolific trees on the lime-rich soils of much of Ryedale.   Story and details on how to report any trees suspected of being diseased can be read under Wildlife and Conservation in the Activities menu under the Community heading.
