Jeff Paulin has died

Jeff Paulin was 88 years old when he died on 2nd June 2015.  A former chairman of Broughton Parish Meeting, Jeff was well known and liked in the village.  His late wife Margaret was the parish clerk for a number  of years.

Jeff leaves a daughter Ann, three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  Donations in Jeff’s memory can be made in favour of St Helen’s Church, Amotherby where his funeral takes place at 11am on Tuesday 23rd June  2015.

Fox cubs and community survey

Two new items from North Yorkshire Police are forwarded for publication from John Horsman, parish clerk to the Parish Meeting.

One concerns finding fox cubs in a barn at Birdsall while the other is a plea for people to take part in a survey on policing and crime.

Broughton was targeted by fish traders cold calling and trying to pressurize householders into buying fish. Sightings are sought of a silver van Reg No LH02COD.
