Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee
New-comers to Broughton, Garry and Rosemary Reddihough generously opened up their gardens to residents who each received a personally delivered invitation to a bring-and-eat food and drink afternoon on Sunday 2nd June 2002. It was a rare opportunity for locals to get together in pleasant surroundings.

Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubliee
Garry and Rosemary Reddihough once again offered the use of their gardens to host a picnic for the village. It was organised by a trio of stalwarts, Mandy Prest and Mollie Tindall of Broughton, together with Sue Sleightholme who only recently moved out of Broughton. The picnic was held on Tuesday 5th June 2012.
